Inle–Nyaung Shwe Flood Relief & Rehabilitation
Inle–Nyaung Shwe Flood Relief & Rehabilitation
From 10–12 September 2024, severe flooding inundated 171 villages across the Inle Region, submerging one-story homes, displacing families, and destroying belongings.
Immediate Relief
Through the LGT Program, MFT-SE supported distributions coordinated by Taung Thu Thadar and the KKKH Volunteer Team, reaching affected households from multiple villages across Kuntkay Township. Additional supplies continued into November for Sisu, Naungtawlaykhye, and Inpaukhun Villages.
Post-distribution assessments guided a shift toward home rebuilding and livelihood recovery, especially for weaving communities.
