In these locations, we have provided Basic Business Knowledge Courses and Job Readiness Skills Development Courses.

OBJECTIVES

Contribute to crisis resilience and an economically and ecologically sustainable future for teenagers and young adults in Myanmar through the following sub-goals/outcomes:

(1) Young people have increased business and employability skills, enabling them to seize new economic opportunities in a crisis context;

(2) Young people have the opportunity to pursue new paths and alternative options through the successful processing and marketing of innovative and sustainable
products;

(3) The network of partner organizations is strengthened, and mutual exchange and learning within and beyond the project are ensured

Young Entrepreneurs for Ecological Alternative (YEEA)

We initially started this project in Namkham township (Northern Shan State), and Manweinggyi (Mansi township) in Kachin State. By the end of year two, we expanded to Lashio township (Northern Shan State) and three IDP camps in Myitkyina (Ingyaton, Trinity, and Bethlehem). The project focuses on building agricultural and business capacities for young people, providing trainings on systematic and sustainable agriculture plantation techniques, basic business knowledge, and agri-related capacity building. In addition, we offer value-added product trainings, facilitate market access, and support machinery for co-ops and start-up social enterprises.

Contribute to the socio-economic development of Shan youth in Kachin and Northern Shan State through piloting youth-targeted economic empowerment and marketing of ecological alternatives
